Welcome

From its origins in 1975 as Mental Health Programs, Inc. to its present day evolution to MHPI, Inc., the objective of creating safe and affordable housing and enhancing it with the most appropriate supportive services available has been the primary premise of the organization. One of the most important support systems for an individual is having a place to live. The need for affordable housing for very-low-income persons, particularly those with disabilities and the elderly, has been clearly documented. MHPI developed its first 6-unit project, located in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, in 1983. Since that time, we have been awarded funding for eleven other projects located throughout the Boston and Worcester area, and continue to seek new opportunities for expanding our mission.
