History of MHPI

Since its inception in 1975, MHPI, Inc. has become adept at enhancing the lives of the elderly and those less fortunate through a multitude of channels.  A well-respected and knowledgeable member of the human service field, the organization has attained success and positive outcomes delivering supportive services to the elderly and those with disabilities including the creation and operation of safe and affordable service-enriched housing.

From its roots as a service provider to those previously hospitalized in psychiatric institutions to its current-day emphasis on home-based care, whether in its own properties or inside the walls of own’s home,  MHPI, Inc. has truly been many things to many people.

Today, through its affiliate RSSI Home Care, MHPI has placed a renewed emphasis on allowing seniors and those with disabilities to age in place within the comfort of their own homes with supports.  To grow and further this aspect of its mission, the organization has embarked on a steady and rather ambitious expansion of its service reach into Central Massachusetts and Southeastern Massachusetts including the Cape along with Greater Boston which has been its stronghold since the beginning.

As its client roster grows in numbers and its evolution continues, MHPI and RSSI Home Care still vigorously maintain an optimal level of service, care, and commitment to quality.  It is also proud of its 15-property real estate portfolio which houses very low-income individuals and those suffering with disabilities.
