Senior Living on Bellingham Hill Wall Gets a Makeover from Community Youth

On August 25, Senior Living on Bellingham Hill welcomed its newest and most permanent resident, a mural located at the back of its property. The mural, done by teens from Arts Build Community (ABC) in collaboration with the Chelsea Neighborhood Developers and the Summer Youth Employment of the Chelsea Collaborative, features bright colors and large figures, outlining historical and important parts of both the surrounding neighborhood and the housing complex for Senior Living. MHPI, Inc, the owner and maintainer of the property, is glad to have allowed the teens a safe and responsible way to spend the summer while contributing to the community at large. Sheldon Bycoff, President of MHPI, Inc. noted that it was “wonderful to see how all the ideas have come together to de3pict the neighborhood here on Bellingham Hill”.

Both Senior Living and MHPI, Inc. look forward to more opportunities to work with groups such as Arts Build Community, the Chelsea Neighborhood Developers and the Summer Youth Employment of the Chelsea Collaborative to further beautify and enhance not only the physical neighborhood, but also the people and the youth that live in the community.
