SLAP Lottery Held

NEWTON, MA – MHPI, Inc. is proud to announce that on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 it conducted the lottery for the initial “rent-up” for Senior Living at Prouty, located in Spencer, Massachusetts. MHPI President Sheldon Bycoff was delighted to announce that all applicants that submitted completed applications before the October 15th postmark date have been randomly assigned a unit. With the completion of this phase, there still remain several units that are available for occupancy. As the process moves forward now, all completed applications will be assigned units on a “first come, first served” basis. Because the building is not completely filled, MHPI wants to encourage prospective renters to continue applying. At the point when all units have been assigned and accepted by the first thirty five applicants, future applicants will be placed on a waiting list according to the date that their completed application is received and processed.

As a reminder, there are still a number of apartments that remain vacant. Any applicant that meets the age (62), income and HUD application process requirements will be afforded a rental unit until such time that the building is fully occupied. At the present time, MHPI is anticipating initial occupancy to commence in approximately two months. For an application or if you have questions, please contact Jane Karoway at 617-431-4924.
